Code of Conduct
Effective: January 20, 2026
This Code of Conduct applies to all dancers, parents/guardians, coaches, and staff associated with Dallas Elite Diamond Dolls (EDD).

​By enrolling in Dallas Elite Diamond Dolls classes, programs, or teams, families agree to abide by the following expectations and policies.
Dancers Expectations & Behavior

Dancers must follow all instructions given by coaches and staff

ZERO tolerance for:

Attitudes
-
Tantrums
-
Disrespect toward peers, coaches, or staff

All dancers must treat teammates with respect and build positive relationships

Dancers should:

Carry themselves with class, confidence, and poise at all times

Come to practice ready to learn and dance full-out
-
Maintain positive energy and arrive with a smile

This is more than a team — it is a sisterhood.
Academic Expectations

Dancers ages 7 and up must submit:
-
Progress reports every 3 weeks
-
Report cards every 6 weeks
-

Dancers must maintain passing grades
-
Failing grades may result in consequences determined by coaching staff, including removal from performances or competitions
Attendance & Punctuality Policy
-
All dancers are required to attend practices, performances, and competitions on time
-
Communication is required for any absence or tardiness
Demerits
-
Tardy: 0.5 demerit
-
Unexcused absence: 1 demerit
-
Late without communication on performance/competition day: 4 demerits
Demerit System
Each dancer begins the season with 0 demerits
Maximum allowed per season: 10 demerits
Consequences
-
3 demerits → Conditioning practice
-
6 demerits → Sit out of upcoming event or performance
-
10 demerits → Immediate dismissal from the team
Demerits may be issued for:

Unexcused tardiness or absences
-
Being out of uniform
-
Violating the Code of Conduct

Unsportsmanlike or inappropriate behavior
Parent & Guardian Responsibilities

Parents are responsible for:
-
On-time drop-off and pick-up
-
Ensuring dancers are properly dressed and prepared

Carpooling or alternative arrangements must be communicated in advance

ZERO tolerance for:
-
Violence
-
Physical assault
-
Negative behavior from parents or guardians
-
Any violation may result in immediate removal from the program with no refunds.
Coaches & Staff Expectations
Coaches and staff are expected to:

Treat every dancer equally
-
Lead by example (appropriate dress, language, behavior)
-
Communicate respectfully with dancers and parents
-
Commit to practices, performances, and competitions
-
Support team bonding and fundraising efforts
-
Maintain positive, professional relationships with parents
If coaches or staff feel compromised due to negativity or disrespect, the dancer and parent may be removed immediately without refund.
Competition Team Tryout Rules

Tryouts open to dancers ages 7–18
-
Tryouts include 3 days:

Day 1: Learning choreography
-
Day 2: Cleaning choreography
-
Day 3: Interview & performance
-

Dancers must wear all black with hair pulled back
-
Tryouts are closed to parents
-
Results will be shared within one week
-
Dancers may try out once per quarter if not selected
-
Competition team fees are separate from regular tuition
-
Dancers may be removed from the competition team at any time for disciplinary or conduct violations
Tuition & Studio Policies (Summary)

Tuition is due monthly by the 3rd of each month
-
Dancers may not return to practice if tuition is unpaid
-
No refunds or make-ups for missed classes (unless canceled by staff)

Dancers will perform in:

Two showcases per year

Parades and additional invited performances
